Deep blues sweep through ochre, rust and charcoal, creating flowing pathways that suggest the movement of a river through the land. Layered lines echo the rhythms of water, erosion and geological time, while the darker central form draws the eye inward, like a deep pool or hidden passage.
The work is not a depiction of a particular river, but an abstract impression of water as an ancient force — continually moving, shaping and leaving its traces upon the earth.
