Fashioned from the image of weathered blue steps leading to an old house, Threshold Whispers emerges as a guardian of crossings, memories, and unseen connections.
Within its flowing wings lie the traces of countless journeys—arrivals marked with anticipation, departures coloured by uncertainty, and the ordinary passages that slowly become family history. The old staircase from which it was born becomes transformed into a symbolic threshold, a place where one world gives way to another.
This Kaitiaki dwells in the space between what is remembered and what is fading, gathering fragments of stories left behind by those who once climbed these steps. It does not speak in words, but in impressions: the creak of timber, the echo of laughter, the feeling of being welcomed home after a long absence.
Suspended between earth and sky, Threshold Whispers reminds us that every doorway carries a memory, and every journey leaves something of itself behind.
